If you are interested in screening students in private schools and you have a teaching, speech pathology, or educational diagnostician
degree (or anything comparable), please send a resume.
We are presently looking for a part-time screener for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area with a college degree and certification in teaching, social work,
counseling, speech pathology, nursing, educational diagnostics, or a related field.
Pay is per hour with travel expenses reimbursed - coordinators also receive commission per school.
Scheduling is based on availability of screener and scheduled schools generally from 8:30 a.m. until the completion of the testing
(12:30 pm - 2:30 pm based on the screener's schedule and the school's hours.) Hours can be arranged to meet screener's children's
own school hours. Testing begins mid-August and ends early May with breaks from Thanksgiving to mid-January and off all school holidays.
Responsibilities include:
- administering vision, hearing, spinal screenings (certification is done through the Texas Department of Health)
- administering other screenings (intellectual abilities, developmental, readiness, speech, behavioral)
- coordinating testing, completing paperwork
